Hi, I’m Ryan Paul Johnson. Let me tell you a little bit about me and my family.
I have a diverse background of both life and professional experience. I grew up in Phoenix Arizona where my dad owned a landscape maintenance company. Since this was the family business I grew up pushing a lawn mower in the blistering AZ summers. I learned a lot maintaining all those properties for all those years. The main thing I learned was work ethic. I know what it takes to get a job done and I’m not afraid to get out there and work.
When I was 18 I broke my neck in a snowboarding accident. Well I’m not sure if accident quite covers it; I just came off a jump wrong and landed on my head. When I got to the hospital the doctors told me I’d never walk again. Not only that, but they also said I’d never breath without the assistance of a ventilator or eat without a feeding tube. However, by the grace of God and a lot of hard work I proved them wrong. I now make it a point to walk around neighborhoods on a weekly basis to knock on doors and introduce myself to home owners. I may walk with a limp but as I go from house to house I feel so lucky just to have the privilege of walking.
After my spinal cord injury I continued back at Arizona State where I majored in Marketing. I graduated with honors in 2002. After undergrad I decide to explore my faith further. I attended Phoenix Seminary where I earned a Masters of Divinity. While I attended seminary I worked as a debt relief consultant. After Seminary I was accepted to the Duke Divinity school. I attended for a semester but decided I was too much of a people person to pursue a profession as an academic.
Back tracking just a bit… While I was at ASU I met my wife Aimee. We were married in 2004; while I was in seminary. We now have two beautiful children Lucky & Zinnia.
Something I’m sure you’ll notice from the picture (besides how cute my kids are) is my tattoo collection. I’ve been collecting for 9 years now. I like to think that I’m engaging people’s imaginations with my collection. Enabling them to ask, “what if the world could be different than what we’ve decided it has to be?” In some circumstances I’ve been forced to think outside the box like with my spinal cord injury; in other cases I choose to.
My outlook on the real estate industry is a mix of the old school and innovation. I believe in getting out into the communities and forging relationships but I also know the internet is a game changer in all industries; especially real estate.
I’d love to talk to you more about my philosophy on life as well as selling homes. Please feel free to give me a call anytime.
