Raleigh Real Estate

One of the really great things about living in Raleigh is the overall commitment to community. The city even helps to encourage the growth of interconnected communities by providing an official place to register your community groups. These groups include home owners associations (HOAs) but are in no way limited to dues paying organizations; any neighborhood based organization is welcome to apply for official recognition. The stated goal of the registry program is to identify and support neighborhood based organizations. I really applaud the City of Raleigh for this initiative. The only problem I have with the official registry is the format in which the city has decided to publish it. They only provide the names of the organization. It would be way more helpful to include some contact information for each group at the very least. However, the list is searchable so if you’re looking for a specific neighborhood you’ll be able to locate each registered group in that neighborhood. If you are thinking about moving to Raleigh and have a couple neighborhoods in mind this list is a good place to find out what groups are active around your new home. With the name of the group in hand and Google at your finger tips you should be able to get in touch with active member of the community.  The information and wisdom these organizers can provide you with is priceless. If you’d like help identifying some potential neighborhoods for your move give me a call.
